Anwar Ibrahim said the mandate given by the people to PKR in the Penanti by-election was highly encouraging.

His statement was rebuffed by the Election Commission chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Yusof who replied that it was the worst voters turnout in Malaysia’s election history since 1955.

The hype, sentiments, propaganda and emotions attempted by PKR and Anwar during the campaign period failed to arouse voters as the turnout said it all.

Only 7,101 of the 15, 384 registered voters or 46.15% cast their votes at the nine polling stations during the by-election.

As expected, PKR’s Dr Mansor Othman (did he really obtain his doctorate on merit) won by beating three independent candidates. He was subsequently appointed Penang DCM1.

So, what is Anwar shouting about? His rhetoric that the people are sending strong message to Putrajaya and blah, blah, blah did not reflect the real sentiment of the rakayat.

PKR could not even obtain 50% support in their home turf, Penanti despite the absence of Barisan Nasional.

In fact, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said PKR’s win is no big deal and cannot be used to gauge its popularity because the party was only challenged by independent candidates.

He said it was also hardly an encouraging win as only less than half of the voters in the constituency cast their votes.

”It is not a victory to be proud of,” he told the Malaysian pressmen covering the Asean-South Korea Commemorative Summit here yesterday.

Mansor garnered 6,052 votes. Independents Nai-Kan Ari obtained 494 votes while Aminah Abdullah and Kamarul Ramizu obtained 392 and 56 votes respectively.

It was also not much of a victory for Mansor because he obtained less votes than his predecessor, former Penang Chief Minister 1 Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin..

Peaceful By ElectionVictory over who

In the general election last year, Mohammad Fairus won the seat by polling 7,346 votes, beating Barisan Nasional candidate Datuk Abdul Jalil Abdul Majid with a majority of 2,219 votes.

Kak Min Versus Zahrain May 29, 2009

ndependent candidate Aminah Abdullah, 56, will defend her dignity and the truth at all costs as she has nothing to fear.

“I maybe poor and a woman but I will defend my dignity at all costs,” Aminah or known as Kak Min said when referring to her spat with Penang PKR chief Datuk Zahrain Mohamad Hashim.

Kak Min said Zahrain is an iron-fist leader and would victimise whoever is against him.

For the record, Zahrain was former Tanjung Umno division chief in the 90s where the issue of phantom-members was widespread during his tenure as the division chief.

He was also the Penang Port executive chairman when he was holding the political post where the port management was investigated for embezzling public funds.

He was also probed by the then Anti-Corruption Agency for buying a yacht for his personal use and to entertain his friends.

Kak Min said the state PKR information youth chief also threatened to slap her face for revealing Zahrain’s inability and iron-fist rule as well as for defending others who were victimised by Zahrain to Anwar Ibrahim and Wan Azizah.

“Zahrain will sack whoever obstruct his path. The victims include former Jelutong division chief Zarus Yusof,” he said.

Instead of resolving the problem I brought up to state party leaders, they orchestrated a conspiracy to throw Kak Min and to shut her mouth.

“They filed 11 charges against me and I was asked to defend myself,” she said.

Kak Min said state exco member Law Choo Kiang was asked to preside over Kak Min’s case and Law was shocked as Law knew Kak Min personally and her hardwork.

The case did not have merit and no action was taken against Kak Min until today.

So, who is telling the truth? Kak Min or Zahrain?

Kak Min To PKR: “Go Ahead And Sue Me” May 28, 2009

“Go ahead and sue me,” that was the immediate response of Aminah Abdullah or better known as Kak Min, the independent candidate contesting in the Penanti by-election to Parti Keadilan Rakyat election director Saifuddin Nasution.

Kak Min who is former Penang PKR Wanita Chief was responding to Saiifuddin’s threat to take legal action against Kak Min if she does not apologize and retract her allegations made against PKR that she was offered the Penang Deputy Chief Minister 1 post if she wins and rejoin PKR.

Kak Min also claimed that two PKR leaders, Cheah Kah Peng, and Lim Eng Nam who admitted meeting Kak Min at her house on May 13, had also offered her the Penang Municical Council chief post if she withdrew from the contest.

A sum of RM80,000 was also on the table to compensate Kak Min for what she had spent so far in preparing for the by-election.

“I am telling the truth and I have nothing to fear or hide. Infact, they have not served the notice demanding for the apology and retraction to me until now (12pm on May 27),” Kak Min said.

I believe Kak Min was telling the truth about PKR and the man named Anwar Ibrahim. Otherwise he would not have revealed the stinking truth about PKR leaders as it would be too costly for her if the matter is dragged in court.

No one would want to be grilled for more than 12 hours over two days by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (MACC) if they are not telling the truth. The fact that Kak had volunteered to give evidence and endure the 12-hopur interrogation showed that she was sincere and telling the truth.

The courageous Kak Min had also disclosed how she was humiliated by her PKR state chief Datuk Zahrain Hashim in full view of the public.

“I hope Zahrain still remember the incident in Jawi, Nibong Tebal,” she said.

I guess she was referring to PKR’s service centre in Jawi, the house owned by Tan Tee Beng, the lazy Batu Kawan MP who was declared a bankrupt over contra share issues.

She reported the matter to Anwar Ibrahim and the then PKR president Wan Azizah who is Anwar’s wife, but no action was taken against Zahrain.

Instead of action against Zahrain, Anwar, Wan Azizah and Zahrain concocted a story against Kak Min and filed 11 charges against Kak Min which Kak Min refused to disclose.

Kak Min said she had enough of PKR and the antics. She quit PKR last year.

“I quit because I lost faith in the leadership. Anwar and PKR have deviated from their original struggles. It is all bogged down with personal interests and power struggles.

“Have you ever heard them shouting Reformasi now,” Kak Min asked.

Another Stinking Revelation About Anwar May 25, 2009

THE truth about Anwar Ibrahim is that he is not remorseful over his past sins and misdeeds.

Power, money, command and psyche war are his political games. You name it and he is good at it. But he is not regretful and would not repent over what he has done to other people and the country.

The latest expose about Anwar was made by his former Wanita state chief, Aminah Abdullah, at her election bangsal (makeshift election centre) in Kubang Ulu, Bukit Mertajam, just couple of hours ago.

Aminah who is contesting the Penanti by-election revealed that Anwar had sent two PKR state leaders to offer her the Deputy Chief Minister 1 post, left vacant by Mohamed Fairus Khairudin, if she withdrew from the by-election.

The former PKR Penang Wanita chief said the two leaders met her at her house in Jelutong on May 13 about noon.

“I have all the evidence in CD and will distribute to the media soon to tell the people the truth about this man named Anwar Ibrahim,” she said.

Aminah accompanied by her husband Mohd Rofi and her eldest daughter Hernanie, 25, said she was also offered the Penang Municipal Coucil president’s post if she won in the by-election and PKR’s candidate Dr Mansor Othman lost.

She said she was also offered RM80,000 in compensation for the monies she had so far spent as preparations for the by-election.

Aminah said her family members were witnesses to the meeting between her and the two PKR leaders and had recorded the full meeting which lasted about three hours.

She said the same leaders also met her again twice after that, one at her house and another at an office in Seberang Jaya within a week.

“The offer was made as they claim that Dr Mansor is a weak and unpopular leader and might lose in the by-election,” she added.

Well, this is not a conspiracy as always claimed by the boy who cries wolves. This is the truth and another painful revelation about Anwar.

He claims to promote good governance, transparency, justice and blah, blah, blah and all sorts of grandmother stories.

He condemned Barisan Nasional and the Government for money politics and cronyism..

Well, use your head and astute wisdom and thoughts when you make judgment about Anwar.

Zahid Being Pulled By The Nose By Umno Warlords In Penang May 18, 2009

LEAVE PENANTI OUT. This is my second advice to Umno leadership not to contest in the Penanti by-election.

What is Umno actually trying to achieve if the party decides to field a candidate in the by-election?

To make self-elected Penanti by-election director Datuk Abdul Jalil Abdul Majid who is also Permatang Pauh division chief richer I guess.

Generally, everyone in Penanti, and Jalil himself for that matter, knows very well that Umno does not even stand a chance to win the by-election. It is a forgone case to be exact.

I am willing to put my money that Umno will lose “pants down.”

Speculations are rife that Jalil’s secretary Rohaizat Othman, 38, a lawyer, is the likely Umno candidate for the by-election. What a joke!

I wonder if the party’s Penang Umno liaison chief Datul Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had done his homework about the chronic condition and state of affairs of Penang Umno and Permatang Pauh.

My question is did Zahid really meet the people, the pak ciks and mak ciks in the kampungs, to listen their views and grouses or he was listening to a few rotten Umno leaders who are lazy but power crazy.

I am speechless when I saw Zahid’s new line-up when he announced his new committee members.

It is not new at all. His line-up is dominated by has beens, unwanted, scumbags and people who have failed Umno in the past.

Zahid re-appointed Datuk Azhar Ibrahim as his secretary, Datuk Musa Sheikh Fazir (information chief) and Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop (treasurer), key positions in the his committee.

Doesn’t he know that these people are Pak Lah cronies and buddies.

Is Zahid really listening to the voices of the people and doing what he is supposed to do, i.e. to reform the party.

I was told that Zahid is being pulled by the nose by Umno warlords like Musa and Azhar to bend over to their demands.

I have been forewarned about this and true enough my prediction was correct. Please refer to my earlier posting titled Umno Scumbags in Penang.

It looks like Najib will be talking alone non-stop about reforms and changes he wants in the party while his lieutenants continue to play deaf and dumb and shoot rubber bullets at the enemy.

Why Barisan Should Forget About Penanti May 4, 2009

THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL. Barisan Nasional will lose if the party decides to contest in the Penang by-election.

Have we forgotten how Anwar Ibrahim embarrassed Barisan and Pak Lah with an even greater majority when he won the Permatang Pauh by-election in August last year.
The PKR de-facto leader was returned to Parliament with a majority of 15,671 votes, exceeding the 13,388-vote majority won by his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail in the March 8 general election.
Anwar garnered 31,195 votes to beat Barisan candidate Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah, who polled 15,524 votes, while Angkatan Keadilan Insan Malaysia candidate Hanafi Hamat lost his RM15,000 deposit after getting only 92 votes. There were 447 spoilt votes.

Our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had said that Barisan might not contest in the Penanti by-election as it would waste a lot of money, time and energy.

Tun Mahathir said Barisan should contest as the party should not disappoint its supporters in Penanti. For once, I don’t agree with Tun as Tun might not be aware the sentiments in Permatang Pauh or Penanti itself for that matter.

Let me tell you why Barisan should keep Penanti out.

The Malays are split with mostly supporting PKR. The Chinese voters too are not supporting Barisan as they want a change in the Government. They do not mind the gamble by changing government as gambling is thick in their blood and culture.

Permatang Pauh Umno is in disarray. Backbiting and infighting is still widespread in the division. It’s chief Datuk Abdul Jall Abdul Majid is a warlord in the division. No one can go against his words.

It is an open-secret that he and Seberang Jaya state assemblyman Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah cannot see eye-to-eye. Arif is being suppressed by Abdul Jalil and the latter wrote a five-page complaint letter about Arif to Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, who was Second Finance Minister then. Nor Yakcop is Tasek Gelugor MP and chair the state’s MTEN.

There was a long-list of money politics made against Abdul Jalil and the complaint letter was faxed to Tengku Ahmad Rithaauddeen who chairs the Umno disciplinary board but no action was taken against Abdul Jalil until today. I was told that two of the committee members in the board are Abdul Jalil’s close buddies.

Five committee members in the division, including vice-chairman and youth chief, staged a walkout during a meeting to set up its election machinery on April 21. They demanded Abdul Jalil to close ranks with Arif , Datuk Ahmad Saad and Datuk Pirdaus Ismail for the sake of unity. Abdul Jalil had left these three important leaders when he named his new line-up after winning the division chairman’s post. He even refused to invite them to sit as committee members in the machinery.

Abdul Jalil had named himself as the election director during the meeting. Ke knew very well that millions will be channelled directly to him for the by-election. He was also the Permatang Pauh by-election director where he received RM6mil from the party’s state treasury Datuk Zainal Abidin Osman.

He gave peanuts (RM200k) to Arif who was contesting against Anwar in the Mother Of All By-Elections and pocketed the rest

Except Ariif Shah, no Barisan leaders, especially from Umno, have done anything to show their sincerity and commitment or to be close to the people in Permatang Pauh after last year’s March 8 general election. People have totally lost faith in Umno Permatang Pauh. No amount of plea, prayers and money can win their hearts now.

Believe me, Barisan will lose “pants down” if the party contests in the by-election. And as long as Najib let Abdul Jalil to reign in Permatang Pauh, it will be a long battle for Umno to recoup the elusive Permatang Pauh and Penanti.

Below are some statistics to proof my hypothesis on the voting trend and why Barisan should leave out Penanti this time. Let us analysis and ponder.

LIES, LIES and LIES. That was my hypothesis when I attended Anwar Ibrahim’s briefing-cum-speech to his supporters at PKR’s Yayasan Aman headquarters in Penanti, Bukit Mertajam, last Friday night.

Using some Quaranic versus, rhetoric, facial expression and speechifying skills, the audience, about 250-odd of them, were in awe except a few who are familiar with his bluff and deception.

Anwar focused his attack on the Malay Rulers institution when he worshipped and spoke full of praise for ex-Perak Mentri Besar Nizar Jamaluddin and equate him as the great Bendahara Tun Perak, who was the Prime Minister during the Malacca Sultanate era.

He used the historic battle between Hang Tuah and Hang Jebat, the two formidable warriors during the era, as an analogy to sow hatred against the Sultan of Perak.

“Raja Adil, Raja Disembah and Raja Zalim, Raja DiSanggah,” which literally means that we should dethrone the Sultan if he is unfair.

What does he mean by that statement? Who is really unfair politically?

He tied the Sultan hands behind and attacked the defenseless Sultan in open as Anwar knew the Sultan could not retaliate as he is above politics. Well, that’s Anwar Ibrahim, a man full of mischief, political trickery and a scoundrel.

Anwar even blame Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for the fall of Pakatan-Rakyat (PR) state government in Perak, alleging that the three PR state assemblymen were bought over by Barisan Nasional which subsequently led them to become independent state reps and declare their support to BN.

Who started it all in the first place? Has he forgotten about his Sept 16 failure coup to seize control of the federal government? His buoyancy about the 30 BN MPs whom he claimed would crossover to PR.

He is also showing his true colors and telling Lim Guan Eng who is actually the boss.

He kept Guan Eng in the dark over his so-called protégée Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin’s resignation as Penang DCM 1 and Penanti assemblyman and Guan Eng is very sore and unhappy over the matter.

Damned on you if you still can’t read in between the lines!

Penanti By-Election Is Looming And Nibong Tebal Is Next April 18, 2009

ANOTHER by-election is looming in Penanti, Penang, following the resignation of former Penang Deputy Chief Minister 1 Mohammad Farius Khairuddin as the state assemblyman on April 16.

It will be the sixth by-election after last year’s March 8 general election, three of which due to resignation of PKR representatives. The Penanti by-election will not be the last in Penang as another PKR Penang leader and MP is expected to resign.

It has been made known that there are two PKR state leaders who are involved in connection with taking bribes from quarry operators in Penanti, Bukit Mertajam. The media had exposed the name of one of them while the identity of the other leader had been kept secret by Anwar Ibrahim.

Fairus who claims that he was framed by his own party friends had threatened to expose “inside stories” of the party and the state government if they did not clear his name.
Well, this is an interesting development. I believe there is a lot of filth and dirt that Fairus wants to clean up in public about his boss Anwar and Lim Guan Eng. He would not have issued the threat if he was not there with them.

If you want to know, the other PKR Penang leader who has been implicated in the corruption along with Fairus is TAN TEE BENG, the MP for Nibong Tebal. He is the son of the former MPPP and Penang Gerakan president Datuk Tan Gim Hwa. Talks are rife that Tee Beng may also be charged for working in cohort with the quarry operators in covering up their illegal activities.

The people are tired with by-elections which are not doing any good to improve the country’s economy. While Najib is trying his level best to steer the country to economic recovery, political stability and build efforts to realise the 1Malaysia concept, his nemesis in PKR is busy politicking and finding ways to disrupt peace and stability of our country.

Well, I hope the rakyat will tell Anwar that enough is enough. The Penanti by-election is the best place for them to snub him.
