Provocation and Insult On Perak Sultan To The Extreme March 15, 2009

A couple was jointly-charged at the Butterworth Sessions Court, here, with posting and distributing comments containing vulgarities on a website which is linked to the official website of the Perak Sultan.
Chan Hon Keong, 26, a businessman pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Judge Amernudin Ahmad set April 15 for the case to be mentioned.
He set bail at RM6,000 which was posted by Chan.
Chan’s wife Khoo Hui Shuang, 27, a housewife, was not present when the charge was read as she was away in Sarawak.
Amernudin also set April 15 for Khoo’s case to be mentioned.
Both of them were jointly charged under Section 233 (1) of the Communications and Multi-Media Act which are to be read together with Section 34 of the Penal Code.
If they are charged under Section 233(1) of the Act, Chan and Khoo are liable to a maximum fine of RM50,000 or a jail term not exceeding a year, or both, as provided for under Section 233(3) of the Act.
The couple was charged with committing the offence at their house in Taman Arowana Emas in Permatang Pauh on Feb 13, this year.
They had posted the offensive comments on http://books.dreambook.com/duli/duli.html which is linked to www.sultan.perak.gov.my.
THIS IS THE CHARGE SHEET ON THE CASE PRODUCED IN THE SESSIONS COURT:
Bahawa kamu pada 13/02/2009 jam lebih kurang 12.05pg di alamat No 5, Lorong Arowana Emas 2, Taman Arowana Emas, Permatang Pauh, di dalam daerah Butterworth, Negeri Pulau Pinang, bagi mencapai niat bersama kamu berdua telah menggunakan perkhidmatan applikasi internet melalui alamat internet protokol 60.48.89.212 telah mengedarkan komen yang lucah iaitu : “SULTAN AZLAN SHAH KEPALA BUTUH, SIA-SIA TULIS BANYAK HAL PERUNDANGAN, SEOLAH-OLAH BENAR-BENAR SULTAN YANG PRIHATIN. LAIN KALI TAK PAYAH LAH UNDI PERAK, HANG PILIH LA SIAPA YANG BERKENAN JADI MB. YA…TAK PERLU GUNA PATIK ATAU BETA SEBAB KITA BUKAN HAMBA RAJA. SISTEM RAJA HANYA SATU SIMBOL , TETAPI KALAU DAH DIKORUP DAN DINODAI DENGAN KETIDAKADILAN MAKA BAIK DILUPUSKAN SAJA SIMBOL ITU. BIAR MATI MENDERHAKA, TAK ENGGAN HIDUP DIPERDAYA. AKHIRNYA, HIDUP MATI TUHAN JUGAK YANG MENENTU.
The comments were posted by a Chinese couple. For the Malays, lets ponder.

Apa pulak kena mengena dengan isu kaum pulak? Mereka mencaci Sultan tu, bukan seluruh kaum Melayu la. Tak ya asyik saya Melayu la, you Cina, dia India. Kita semua ni rakyat Malaysia. Bukan ka kita semua ni ciptaan Tuhan?? You ingat Tuhan gembira ke melihat kita menjadi racist?!?
