The bloggers have forewarned Najib and so did Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed. The warning was made way before Najib was sworn in as PM on April 3rd. But is Najib listening?

News and talks are spreading wild that the Level 4 Boys of former PM Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi are inching and weaving their way into Najib’s private office.

“ These are very serious messages put across. Will the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister take heed on these strong messages?,” one blogger asked before Najib took office.

Led by this guy by the name Omar Mustapha Ong, former Ethos CEO, names like Datuk Zaki Zahid, Datuk Kamal Khalid who are still closely associated with Khairy Jamaludin, are still making their presence strongly felt and heard in Najib’s office and decision making.

As far back as 2006, Omar was linked to former abuse-of-power convict Anwar Ibrahim. It was not a much of a surprise because of his close association with then Deputy Chief of Staff in PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s private office, Khairy Jamaluddin.

Khairy, was said to have the desire to be the Malaysian Prime Minister by the age of forty. Omar and Khairy shared the same alma matta, Oxford University and both read philosophy, politics and conomics.

Recently, Omar Ong has become the centre of attraction for the wrong reasons and bantered in the blogosphere following talks that he is lobbying strongly to be appointed as Petronas director.

Omar, was formerly with Multimedia Development Corporation and McKinsey before founding Ethos Consulting with the late Dr. Liew Boon Horng, was one time the Special Function Officer in the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office.

He left abruptly with the untimely and sudden demise of Dr. Liew. Now, he is said to be inching his way back into Datuk Seri Najib’s close aide status.

It is still unsure how reliable this rumour that he is eyeing on the nation’s most prized vehicle, which provided taxes and dividends for the Government’s coffer in size more than majority of the under developed nations’ annual GDP, on behalf of the rakyat.
But Omar had his hands in scandals like Sime Darby taking over IJN, AirAsia’s LCCT, ECM Libra –Avenue merger, Malaysia Airlines’ inner workings of the new management and others.
He has been working his way for a position in Najib’s office for quite sometime and his first success step was to manage Najib’s 1Malaysia website, linked to Ethos Consulting. The slogan 1Malaysia first appeared on this website many months before Najib assume premiership.
Talks are also abuzz that former Minister, Dato Seri Syed Hamid Albar will be appointed as Chairman of Petronas.
I quoted a blogger who said “Perception is very important nowadays, especially when the rakyat demand more transparency on Government’s spending. As 55% of the Federal Government income comes from Petronas, it is important that its directors are of selfless (non opportunistic) character,” and I agreed wholeheartedly with him.
The fact that Pak Lah is no longer in power, the reminiscence of the ‘mastermind’ that almost ruined the country, foreign policy, self-destruction of UMNO and BN is still hounding the PM’s office.

The question that remains now is “Will Najib listens to the people or this bunch of has been?”

Well … after all that is said we are still to see the done part. Maybe the government had done a lot but we are still not feeling the effects! So either we are too insensitive or the government are doing too little to have the impact felt! We are still waiting!

its sounds disaster for BN if this interence from the 4th floor boys still occurring in the PMO. Wonder if najib has really learned the pst mistakes of former premier abdullah. How come he doesnt know about this when the people were informed of the actitivities by the boys.
