It is Datuk Abdul Jalil Abdul Majid, the Permatang Pauh Umno division chief who was implicated in a news report carried by The Star’s Feb 17 edition.
The report titled “Appointment Deferred” stated that the appointment of Seberang Jaya state assemblyman Datuk Ariff Shah Omar Shah as Penang Umno liaison committee assistant secretary has been deferred due to a protest by a division chief.
The appointment was said to have been announced during the committee’s meeting at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Putajaya.
The announcement prompted a protest by a division chief who staged a walkout despite the appointment endorsed by the Prime Minister himself.
It is an open secret that Abdul Jalil cannot see eye-to-eye with Ariff Shah and the former is all out to kill the political future of Ariff Shah.
Another “Derhaka” episode, albeit, involving an Umno leader this time. “Derhaka” to the Prime Minister.
