MCA president Datuk Ong Tee Keat in his blog has dared DAP to boycott the Kuala Terengganu by-election if they are unwavering in their stance against hudud and qisas laws by PAS.
They should not just issued statement but show their doggedness in pursuing the issue by not helping PAS in the by-election. Otherwise, it will be just an unadorned statement for the sake of political interest and nothing more.
PAS vice-president Datuk Husam Musa has been slammed for making a swift U-turn on the issue of hudud and qisas after his statement on the issue was disapproved by members of the Pakatan-Rakyat coalition, especially DAP.
This proves that PAS is subservient and obedient to DAP.
DAP advisor Karpal Singh has lashed out at PAS spiritual leader Nik Aziz Nik Mat for saying that PAS would implement the hudud laws is nothing less than a political expediency without considering the political reality in the country.
Karpal continued to say that the Federal Constitutions does not provide for an Islamic state from which could follow implementation of Islamic criminal laws like hudud.
