MCA president Datuk Ong Tee Keat in his blog has dared DAP to boycott the Kuala Terengganu by-election if they are unwavering in their stance against hudud and qisas laws by PAS.

They should not just issued statement but show their doggedness in pursuing the issue by not helping PAS in the by-election. Otherwise, it will be just an unadorned statement for the sake of political interest and nothing more.

PAS vice-president Datuk Husam Musa has been slammed for making a swift U-turn on the issue of hudud and qisas after his statement on the issue was disapproved by members of the Pakatan-Rakyat coalition, especially DAP.

This proves that PAS is subservient and obedient to DAP.

DAP advisor Karpal Singh has lashed out at PAS spiritual leader Nik Aziz Nik Mat for saying that PAS would implement the hudud laws is nothing less than a political expediency without considering the political reality in the country.

Karpal continued to say that the Federal Constitutions does not provide for an Islamic state from which could follow implementation of Islamic criminal laws like hudud.

Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Nizar Jamluddin has been labelled as painfully ignorant” for saying that HIV carriers should be quarantined and not allowed to marry.

Perak senior executive councillor Datuk Ngeh Koo Han said his colleagues need cars with bigger capacity engines because they have to travel a lot.

Defending the state’s decision to purchase the 2.4 Toyota Camry instead of the 2.0 model and Proton Perdana, Ngeh said the 2.0 cars are underpowered.

Selangor PAS Youth chief Sallehan Mokhyi will ask the Selangor state government to meet with the relevant departments and state-owned companies to discuss the types of entertainment programmes which should be allowed in the state. Seems like the PAS Youth have learned nothing after being slammed by the Sultan for their protest against rock queen Ella and dangdut singer Mas Idayu performing at the Sultan of Selangor Cup football match.
If they can’t even accept the likes of Ella and Mas Idayu, we can kiss goodbye to most of the western artists if their wishes are granted’.
The rakyat should realise that PAS philosophy is not in consonant with those of PKR and DAP.
What’s up in Pakatan-Rakyat? A storm in a tea cup? It proofs that everyone is for themselves. There is no Pakatan and the Rakyat is sick and tired with their endless political backbiting. So, let’s get these monkeys off our backs.

I am not much of a politician but these internal discussions and arguments should not be made public for Pakatan’s own good. If such discussion can be made public then God help us if the government fall into their hands. There will be no government secrets so will there be any solid decisions! Think about a government announcing one thing today and then change that decision tomorrow when somebody makes some noise!

If this is a preview of the PR style of governance, then it will be a roller coaster ride for Malaysia, if they get into power

Like a speedboat that keeps changing direction, not much headway can be made

Progress may be stalled while the “leaders” bicker and argue which direction the country should advance

3. DAP - December 29, 2008

Come on you guys, stop picking on DAP. Pause and look at what the other BN component parties had done in the same situation? If you can say they would act otherwise then Malaysian would know what to do ….

i agreed with omongwaras and mat kilau. it seems that those in pr are more keen in ploiticking and not fighting for the cause of the rakyat. is this what they had promised us? its time for a change
