Malaysians should not wake up and suffer from a phobia over Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s continuous lies and political gimmicks which have affected not only the lives of the people but putting the economy of the nation in peril.

He has missed several deadlines he himself set for the transfer of power with the most recent on September 16. He has again set a new deadline on Hari Raya Haji which falls on December 8 to stake his claim to government.

Anwar’s recent actions have not only impingned on our lives but the country’s political and economic stability. He had also spread lies about the economic situation in the country including that no foreign direct investment (FDI) was coming in and that the nation was no longer competitive.

Can we allow this man to destroy the future of our beloved nation, our future generations and let ourselves to be fooled again by his lexis and promises?

Even Prime Minister, Datuk Seri abdullah Ahmad Badawi too pointed out that Anwar had missed his own deadline, and dismissed his claim to have secured the defection of 31 MPs.

He said he can’t reveal the names of MPs who have defected until they show their loyalty in Parliament and to protect them from possible detention or other extra-judicial efforts by the government to prevent them from crossing over.

Anwar said he still has enough support to topple the government and is deliberating over how to carry out his delayed plan to seize power.

He mentioned the 31 MPs who want to cross over to the his Pakatan Rakyat coalition have not lost confidence, nor have they reneged on their commitment to crossover.

Again, he set another deadline to seize power before the end of the year. Anwar stated the takeover would be peaceful because Malaysia could not afford the Thai or Filipino mob style voilence. Can we trust his words after failing so many times in his attempts to seize power.

Have we lost our senses and let someone like him to dictate what our lives should be and where our future should head? Have we forgotten that Anwar is facing a sodomy charge and have we elapsed that Anwar has refused to swear on the Quran to prove his innocent as was done by Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan who was sodomised by Anwar.

So fellow Malaysians, let us wake up and face the truth that we do not need Anwar and we need a good sleep so that we can wake up again the next morning to carry on with life.

Bastard you writer

2. True Malaysian - November 3, 2008

I think its a shame that Tulun Ranau has got nothing to say except just foul language. This shows how low he can get and probably a strong PKR supporter. Furthermore, I am sad to realize that despite the millions our government has spend on our education and given to him for free, they have failed badly. The very least is that we should have very well mannered citizens. Unfortunately we don’t! or maybe only one in a million!!!
I do agree to some extend with the writer that we should just forget about all that and just go on with life. After all who ever is the government of the day will decide on the nations fate. We have decided in the recent elections and if we have voted badly then its our fault, but let those chosen by the majority do their job without inteference from us. If they didn’t do a good job then let’s vote them out in the next election. Trying to sabotage them isn’t the “gentlemen’s” way but then again we or most of us don’t agree with the orang putih’s approach. But for the sake of our nation we should refrain from treason through sabotage and work with the present government (like Anwar suggested) to ensure a better MALAYSIA.
