Not only the PM has to go…… September 23, 2008Posted by malaysianstory in Uncategorized.
Judging from recent developments, it looks like PM Abdullah Badawi will be vacating his post sooner than the planned 2010. He said this after the Umno Supreme Council on Sept 8, 2008.
The Supreme Council felt that the PM has to leave to stop further weakening of Umno, BN and the country’s economy.
But besides the PM, we feel that Anwar Ibrahim should also withdraw from being the Opposition chief. His antics have not helped safeguard the opposition’s image, the country’s stability or its economy. He too should go.
Malaysians have seen how Anwar wanted to be PM at all costs by Sept 16, 2008. When this failed, Anwar now wants to be PM before Oct 9 – a day before his scheduled sodomy case is heard in court – through a specially-held parliamentary session.
This obsession of Anwar has led to economic instability as foreign investors are shunning Malaysia. Does Anwar want our economy to falter so that Malaysians will blame the Government instead? Anwar must be crazy to even think Malaysians can be fooled again.
And maybe DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang should also leave as he has been barking since time immemorial. It is best for DAP to appoint his son and Penang Chief Minister Guan Eng as the party spokesperson as he is more realistic and practical in his outlook. Kit Siang’s empty talk is no longer needed by Malaysians.
Also, perhaps PAS should do away with Mursyidul Am Nik Abdul Aziz and Abdul Hadi Awang and opt for more liberal and contemporary leaders such as vice president Husam Musa.
Only then can Malaysians hope for a brighter future.
